A tart and complex Prohibition-era drink, blending rye whiskey with vermouth, lemon, and a touch of grenadine for color and sweetness.
Ingredients
- 2 oz Rye Whiskey
- 1 oz Dry Vermouth
- 0.75 oz Lemon Juice
- 0.5 oz Grenadine
- 2 dash Orange Bitters
- 1 Orange Peel (optional)
Method
- Combine rye whiskey, dry vermouth, lemon juice, grenadine, and orange bitters in a shaker with ice.
- Shake until well-chilled.
- Strain into a chilled coupe glass.
- Garnish with an orange peel.
