A tart and complex Prohibition-era drink, blending rye whiskey with vermouth, lemon, and a touch of grenadine for color and sweetness.

Ingredients

• 2 oz Rye Whiskey
• 1 oz Dry Vermouth
• 0.75 oz Lemon Juice
• 0.5 oz Grenadine
• 2 dash Orange Bitters
• 1 Orange Peel (optional)

Method

1. Combine rye whiskey, dry vermouth, lemon juice, grenadine, and orange bitters in a shaker with ice.
2. Shake until well-chilled.
3. Strain into a chilled coupe glass.
4. Garnish with an orange peel.
