Rye, Peychaud's bitters, sugar, and an absinthe rinse. New Orleans in a glass.

Method

  1. Rinse chilled rocks glass with absinthe and discard
  2. Stir rye, bitters, and syrup with ice
  3. Strain into rinsed glass (no ice)
  4. Garnish with lemon peel, do not drop in
