Queens Park Swizzle

A vibrant, cooling rum cocktail from Trinidad, characterized by its swizzled preparation, fresh mint, zesty lime, and a dramatic float of Angostura bitters.
Ingredients
- 2 oz Aged Rum
- 1 oz Lime Juice
- 0.75 oz Simple Syrup
- 8-10 leaves Mint Leaves
- 6 dashes Angostura Bitters
- 1 sprig Mint Sprig (optional)
- 1 slice Lime Wheel (optional)
Method
- In a highball glass, gently muddle the mint leaves with the simple syrup and lime juice.
- Add the aged rum.
- Fill the glass generously with crushed ice.
- Insert a swizzle stick or bar spoon and swizzle rapidly between your palms until the glass is thoroughly frosted.
- Top off with more crushed ice if needed.
- Dash Angostura bitters generously over the top of the ice.
- Garnish with a mint sprig and a lime wheel.
