Queens Park Swizzle cocktail

A vibrant, cooling rum cocktail from Trinidad, characterized by its swizzled preparation, fresh mint, zesty lime, and a dramatic float of Angostura bitters.

Method

  1. In a highball glass, gently muddle the mint leaves with the simple syrup and lime juice.
  2. Add the aged rum.
  3. Fill the glass generously with crushed ice.
  4. Insert a swizzle stick or bar spoon and swizzle rapidly between your palms until the glass is thoroughly frosted.
  5. Top off with more crushed ice if needed.
  6. Dash Angostura bitters generously over the top of the ice.
  7. Garnish with a mint sprig and a lime wheel.
