Reportedly created for King Edward VII, this opulent cocktail marries the richness of cognac and maraschino with a hint of bitters, topped with sparkling Champagne.

Ingredients

• 1 oz Cognac
• 0.25 oz Maraschino Liqueur
• 1 dash Angostura Bitters
• 3 oz Champagne

Method

1. Add cognac, maraschino liqueur, and bitters to a chilled flute or coupe glass.
2. Top gently with chilled Champagne.
3. Garnish with a lemon twist or orange peel, if desired.
