New York Sour

A whiskey sour crowned with a float of red wine.

Ingredients

• 2 oz Rye whiskey
• 0.75 oz Lemon juice
• 0.75 oz Simple syrup
• 1 Egg white (optional)
• 0.5 oz Red wine

Method

1. Dry-shake the whiskey, lemon, syrup and egg white
2. Shake again with ice and strain over fresh ice
3. Gently float red wine over the back of a spoon
