A complex, rye-based New Orleans classic, blending sweet vermouth, Benedictine, and absinthe with Peychaud's bitters for a herbaceous and spirit-forward profile.
Ingredients
- 2 oz Rye Whiskey
- 0.75 oz Sweet Vermouth
- 0.5 oz Benedictine Liqueur
- 0.25 oz Absinthe
- 3 dash Peychaud's Bitters
- 1 piece Cherry (optional)
Method
- Combine rye whiskey, sweet vermouth, Benedictine, absinthe, and Peychaud's bitters in a mixing glass with ice.
- Stir until very well-chilled.
- Strain into a chilled coupe.
- Garnish with a brandied cherry.
