Continental Sour

A delightful whiskey sour variation, often featuring a red wine float that adds a beautiful visual and a layer of fruity complexity to the classic.
Ingredients
- 2 oz Bourbon
- 0.75 oz Lemon Juice
- 0.75 oz Simple Syrup
- 0.5 oz Egg White (optional)
- 0.5 oz Red Wine
Method
- If using egg white, combine bourbon, lemon juice, simple syrup, and egg white in a shaker and dry shake (without ice) for 15 seconds.
- Add ice to the shaker and shake again until well chilled.
- Strain into a chilled coupe glass.
- Gently float the red wine on top by pouring it slowly over the back of a spoon.
