Continental Sour cocktail

A delightful whiskey sour variation, often featuring a red wine float that adds a beautiful visual and a layer of fruity complexity to the classic.

Method

  1. If using egg white, combine bourbon, lemon juice, simple syrup, and egg white in a shaker and dry shake (without ice) for 15 seconds.
  2. Add ice to the shaker and shake again until well chilled.
  3. Strain into a chilled coupe glass.
  4. Gently float the red wine on top by pouring it slowly over the back of a spoon.
